“Let me Enhance the Essence of your Natural Beauty”

About Me

Meet your Beauty Artist & CEO.

Hi! Nice to meet you!  My name is Mindy Carter and I am a licensed Certified Lash & OMBRÈ Powder Brows Artist.

After obtaining my Computerized Accounting Diploma in 2002, working full time for 14 years, I decided to change my Career to PSW/ Child Care. I came to a realization that those jobs, although rewarding at times, weren’t the path that I wanted to pursue, not my true calling.

Sooo in 2019 I enrolled myself in aesthetic certification training because I became obsessed with lash extensions and wanted to learn more.

In 2022 I loved what I did so much that I enrolled and completed “ OMBRE Powder Certification Training” to add OMBRE Powder Brows Tattooing Artist to my resume!

How Will My Eyelash Extensions & Ombre Brows Be Done?

ANALYSING

After the initial consultation to establish what shape and type of look you are expecting and any recommendations, it is time for you to relax and lay down on the bed.

PREPARATION

The eyes and lashes need to be free of make-up. I will clean the lashes to make sure they are free of any protein or oil. This is to ensure the lash extensions bond correctly to your natural lash. I will then place small white pads under each eye which are placed over the lower lashes to keep them out of the way. Your eyes are then kept closed for the duration of the procedure.

PLACING

Using tweezers, I will use the pads as a work area by separating out the individual lash that is going to receive the extension. The extension lash is then placed on to the host lash with a specially formulated bonding agent. The application takes approximately 1 ¼ to 1 ½ and anywhere between 50 to 150 lashes on each eye depending on the size and shape of you eyes together with the look you want to achieve.

AFTER-CARE

Once all of the lashes have been applied, there is usually about a 5-10 minutes wait for the bonding to dry and voila! BEAUTIFUL New.

OMBRE POWDER BROWS (PMU)

So, is this Microblading?

No. Ombre “Powder” is a form of permanent makeup, using a machine to deposit pigment adding depth and dimension to your brows, unlike microblading which uses a manual tool to cut “hairstrokes” into the skin. Ombre creates small pixels that heal to a soft, powder-like result, there’s no actual powder used. The “ombre” or gradient starts dark at the tails of the brows and gradually lightens towards the bulbs/fronts of the brows. It is perfect for all skin types, even oily skin. It’s less invasive than manual microblading on the skin and can last up to 3 years depending on your skin type and life style. Whether you have sparse or full brow hairs, it will not damage them. Each client will have a thorough consultation, custom brow mapping, custom-mixed pigment, numbing, and an aftercare kit.

What if I already have previous Brow work?
If you’ve had previous work done (feathering/microblading/shading,etc.) on your brows, please send photos so we can assess whether it will be considered a Cover Up or Correction. Old brows that have discolored to red/blue/purple/orange/green, etc. will have to be color-corrected before covering them up. If previous work is too dark/thick we might have to start with a few lightening/removal sessions first.

What I love about Ombre is it’s ability to cover up previous work. Since we are shading the area, not just adding hair strokes you can better cover up what’s underneath.

If it’s something we can’t cover up, we can start with a lightening/removal. Unlike laser removal, it does not burn or damage your brow hairs. A highly concentrated saline solution is deposited using a tattoo machine to push up, and push out old ink. Depending on the saturation level, it may take several sessions. The typical client will take at least 3-5 sessions to see desired results.
